Amazon echo speaker is latest gadget in the market. This is smart speakers that will respond voice commands care of Amazon’s digital personal assistant named Alexa. Amazon’s Echo is a voice-controlled speaker that is connected to the Internet. Amazon echo speaker are very costly about $180 for the Echo and $130 for the Amazon Tap, both options are very costly.
To built your own speakers you need:

1. Raspberry Pi 2
2. USB microphone
3. A speaker
4. A push button

There are several steps to building your own machine, this is not very difficult. In addition to the five parts, you will need a mouse, keyboard and monitor, but hopefully you have these laying around. You should be able to build the device for less than Rs 5,000. That’s a sweet deal for a device that retails for Rs 20,000 here.

Amazon’s Echo is a hands-free speaker that works on voice commands and gives you information on anything you ask, plays music, checks your calendar and a lot more. The device uses beam-forming technology and microphones to identify your voice even from across a room.
